Q: What was your life like before you got the vaccine?
I was an active person, training 4-5 days a week. Running, road and mountain biking. Local mountain bike and cyclo-cross races. Working in software quality assurance. Healthy, eating well.
Q: Would you like to share your reasons for getting vaccinated?
I took the vaccine to be protected from Covid and because it was supposed to be safe.
Q: What was your reaction, symptoms, & timeline?
On May 23th, 2021 I received the first dose of the Pfizer-Biontech vaccine, lot number FA8721. For the first three days, symptoms were muscle and joint pain. May 27, when doing mountain biking, I experienced shortness of breath, vertigo, dizziness and extreme fatigue. May 31, all of the previous symptoms are present and a headache appears. Non-stop headache, 24h/day, 7 days a week. I took the second dose on July 08 because I thought, at that time, that I had nothing to lose and I’m a bit of a cowboy. By the end of July, symptoms are less important, so I resumed training, then crashed. September to October my symptoms are more intense, I struggled to be able to work. By the end of October, I was not able to work anymore.
Q: What is your life like now, after getting the vaccine?
Energy impairement, post-exertional malaise, shortness of breath, brain fog, dizziness, palpitations, tinnitus, noise sensitivity. I’m not able to work, train, or have social activities anymore.
